The way in which people communicate and how you can reach them is changing at a faster pace than ever before. Today’s reality is that your target audience and customers actively participate in social networks, communicate via chats and blogs and have online profiles. Have you ever considered the implications of this development for your organisation? Does it affect your business? Are there opportunities that you do not recognise (while perhaps your competitors do)?
Quick introduction
This one-day workshop will give you a clear and understandable overview of the most important developments relating to social networks such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Hyves and Plaxo. What are they really about, who uses them, what are today’s businesses and organisations using them for and why?
During the second part of the training, you will perform a quick scan to find out if social networks could do anything for your organisation. If so, what would this be and how should you best go about it?
- What are social networks, how do they work and who uses them for what purpose?
- How are social networks related to other modern developments?
- Inspiring examples: companies and organisations that are employing social networks very effectively
- Do’s and don’ts: what is possible and what is not? what to aim for and what to avoid?
- What relevant developments are to be expected in the near future?
In the second half of the training, you will perform a quick scan. Using the Budeco Compass: Social Networks, you will be able to identify the opportunities your organisation has to employ social networks effectively.
No goals = no direction
Using the Budeco Compass:
- You will set the goals you want to achieve
- You will determine whether and how you can employ social networks to achieve these goals
- You will prepare the first draft of a concrete action plan
